Why do you have a him versus her section for each post?

Opposites really do attract because we could not be more different. Daria lives for all things sugary and sweet, meanwhile, Ryan loves savoury and spicy. I love a very active vacation, while Ryan likes a more relaxing one. Ryan is an early morning person,  but I would much rather be up until 2 am. The list of differences goes on. Having his versus hers rating allows you to see our journey from two different perspectives and make your own decision. Whether you’re more like Ryan or Daria, or maybe somewhere in between, we hope you can find a little something that you relate to in each one of our posts and videos.

 

What do you do outside of Planes, Plates and Pairings?

Ryan is in Finance, and I’m in Audit. The typical 9-5 (and maybe some more) as they say. This is why our posts and videos cover the good and the bad of all the places we travel – a truly honest and authentic perspective. What is the science behind the P score rating?

For Daria, it is a gut feeling or thought about the location, restaurant or activity. For Ryan, this is more so a science. Several items factor into the score. Food, for example, I think about the texture, the atmosphere, the presentation, and overall thoughts. Did I think about that dish the next day? Would I have the item again?
